Holiday Carol Party
featuring students from Hope Violin Studio and the Violin Studio of Sarah Cullen

Heartis Clear Lake

14520 TX-3, Webster, TX 77598

Assisted living facility (building in the back)

Saturday, December 17, 10 am-11:30 am.  Arrive by 9:45 for tuning and setup
What should I wear? your holiday finery, ugly Christmas sweaters, or anything you feel festive in!  You can add some festive accessories (Santa hat/reindeer antlers, etc.) if you'd like.  Instruments may be decorated (reminder that tape doesn't go directly on the varnish and that you should still be able to play!)
What should I bring?  your instrument and bow, your music and music stand if needed for the group carols, plus whatever treats you signed up to bring (Check the Signup Genius or sign up here).

Group pieces (all songs are from Holiday Music for Violin Ensembles, by Jane Soyka.  Buy the book here and the mp3 recordings here)  We will perform all carols twice: play the melody (violin 1) the first time, and split into harmonies on the repeat.   Play on whichever pieces you're comfortable, and skip the pieces you don't know.

Find suggested harmonies for each Suzuki book level here.
